Abstract

This volume examines the references to Ahhiyawa in the Hittite texts and their significance for the study of the Mycenaean Aegean, western Anatolia, and Late Bronze Age interregional politics.

The book presents the Hittite evidence for Ahhiyawa in Greek and discusses the historical implications of these texts for the reconstruction of relations between the Hittite kingdom, western Anatolia, Milawanda/Miletus, Wilusa/Troy, and the Mycenaean world.
